Vilitra 20mg is commonly prescribed for the treatment of a male sexual dysfunction called impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction (ED). Each tablet of this medicine contains 20 mg of a vardenafil monohydrochloride (HCl) salt. Classified in the phosphodiesterase 5 enzyme inhibitor (PDE-5 inhibitor) class of drugs, it helps in achieving an erection by causing more blood to flow into the penis. It can be taken with or without food. The effects usually appear between 30 minutes and 1 hour after consumption. The effects of this medicine last 4 to 5 hours.
